How does Agilent BLER operate, why does this affect 8PSK

measurements?

• 1. A "Packet Downlink Assignment" message assigning the selected

timeslots is sent to a previously attached mobile station.

• 2. A GPRS Mobility Management (GMM) information message containing

none of the optional information elements (that is, a GMM information header

only) is sent via the lower protocol stack layers (LLC & RLC/MAC) to the

mobile station every block in all active timeslots of the assigned downlink

channel. A complete message can be sent in one block, and is repeated

every block.
