Measurement Comparison

• GMSK power variation through burst is minimal

– simple to measure, independent of data

• 8PSK EGPRS power variation considerable –

requires random data, much larger variation,

and has to be averaged – OR predicted.

• Agilent 8PSK FAST TxP measurement uses

modulation information to effectively calculate

the averaged Tx Power with ONE

burst.
